Hyper Potions has changed how they handle their music within YouTube Content ID, so some extra steps are now required to use the music on YouTube.
I received a Content ID claim from ScreenwaveMediaMusic, what do I do?
If you have a received a YouTube Content ID claim from ScreenwaveMediaMusic You can do the following:
- File a Dispute on the claim, stating that you have a valid license to use the music. Since you do have a valid license when you dispute the revenue earned by your video will be kept in escrow, so you get it back when the dispute is resolved.
- You then need to send an email to copyright@screenwavemedia.com to request the removal of the claim.
Why is this happening?
On May 23, 2020 - Hyper Potions began receiving YouTube Content ID Claims on their own music. So Hyper Potions made the decision that they needed to be more aggressive on protecting their music on Content ID. This is the same issue that we built Pretzel Aegis to combat.
On May 24th, 2020 Pretzel removed all Hyper Potions tracks from the Pretzel Rocks YouTube Safe filter. For any videos that include Hyper Potions music on YouTube from before this date, you will need to follow the above instructions.
